Description

Welcome to Healthy Eating After School!

This resource is designed to help after school care programs create a setting where children will increase their food literacy by preparing and eating healthy food. This will be done by implementing nutrition guidelines for snack time and by providing opportunities for children to prepare food together. Children will learn about different foods and how to choose a healthy snack, but most importantly, they will have fun and develop a positive relationship with food. Upon successful completion of the HEAS training module, participants will receive a certificate of completion and will be eligible to use the credited two hours towards Responsible Adult Training.

Course Length: 2 hours

Please Note: The course consists of two modules. Upon completion of the first module, participants will be able to access and download the electronic version of the Healthy Eating After School manual.
